Positron Emission Mammography (PEM)

It is a  high resolution specific PET that specializes in acquiring images whose purpose is to identify abnormal changes in the metabolism of the cells of the breast.  

Common uses of the PEM

• It is particularly suitable for patients with dense breasts, breast implants, pacemakers, metal implants and suffer from claustrophobia. 
• It detects lesions as small as 2 mm in diameter.
• Helps to determine the most effective treatment options.
