Cerebrovascular Duplex

Carotid Doppler ultrasound is a noninvasive test that uses sound waves to measure the flow of blood through the carotid arteries that supply blood to the brain. The primary purpose of a carotid doppler study is to look for narrowed arteries due to arteriosclerosis or other causes.

The study takes approximately 45 minutes.
