Preparation

  • 15 days before, you can NOT paint your hair, take thyroid medication, eat seafood, take a multivitamin, do contrast studies such as MRI or CT, and  take expectorants or anything containing iodine.
  • We administer the iodine-131 capsule and take measurements of the thyroid functions.
