MUGA Scan

To evaluate the motion of the heart walls and efficiency to contract and pump blood to the body. It shows any abnormalities in the size of the ventricles and in the movement of the blood through the heart.

Preparation

• First , the patient is injected with a PYP(red blood cell marker), after 20-30 minutes, a radiopharmaceutical is administered. Then we will take images for about 30 minutes.
