Preparation

  • The day before the study you must take a laxative.
  • Images last 1 hour and additional images may be required.

  • Initial images are obtained earlier in cases of suspected inflammatory disease, usually 18 to 24 hours after injection; 48 and 72 hours for tumor imaging.
